Kathleen Coughlin, LSW and Associates are a group of private practitioners that provide counseling services for individuals, couples, and families. The practice offers services to young children (ages 3 +), adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Our professionals are available 24-hours a day - 7 days a week for our clientele. We offer on-site services in schools, alternative education settings, nursing homes, businesses, and assisted living facilities.

Kathleen Coughlin completed her undergraduate studies at Kutztown
University, and received her Master in Social Work from Marywood
University. Kathleen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.  Kathleen provides clinical supervision to other social workers in the local area.  She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including: hospitals, residential, in-home therapy, school based, managed care, emergency room and outpatient. Since 2002, she has operated a private practice in the Lehigh Valley.

Dr. Larry Dumont is a Board Certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. Dr. Dumont is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Tulane University where he majored in American Literature and he was an honors graduate of Northwestern Medical School in Chicago. Dr. Dumont did his post graduate training in General Psychiatry at Tulane University affiliated hospitals in New Orleans and his child and adolescent training at New York University Bellevue. Dr. Dumont has written two books: A Parents Guide to Teens and Cults and Surviving Adolescence. Dr. Dumont is the Director of Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at KidsPeace Hospital. Dr. Dumont is also a consultant for the juvenile justice system and school systems in PA and NJ. Dr. Dumont is a skilled psychopharmacologist who has been a featured speaker by several pharmaceutical companies. He has done training workshops on dealing with children with Pervasive Developmental Disorders and Asperger’s Syndrome. He is a frequent lecturer on subjects ranging from Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety Disorders.

Gina Holmes is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania. She completed her undergraduate work in Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State University. Gina completed her graduate work in Social Work at Marywood University. Gina provides therapy to individuals, adolescents, families and couples. She has extensive experience working within school based mental health settings with children and adolescents. Gina has specialized training to work with children who have been sexually abused as well as those who have abused other children. She uses both art and play therapy as therapeutic methods with children. Gina is a member of the National Association for Social Workers. She is very active in the community as she has been a volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters for the past 10 years.

Gina Nichol is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Marywood University. Gina completed her undergraduate studies at Kutztown University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She has more than 10 years experience in the field of human services where she has worked with young children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics and families in various clinical settings. Gina is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Bernard Mungin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in PA. He received his B.A. in Humanities and B.S. in Human Development and Family Science at The Ohio State University. In addition, he obtained his Master of Social Work at San Jose State University. Bernard completed extensive clinical training from the National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with the Veterans Administration in Menlo Park, CA. Furthermore, Bernard has worked with diverse populations in a variety of settings: community social work organization, Veterans Administration, hospital, transitional housing program, substance abuse program, and in schools. His professional interest focuses on anxiety, dual diagnosis treatment, and with Transgender, Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual issues. Bernard is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and serves as a Board Member at Mount Carmel House in Washington, DC.

Carolyn Thomas received her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Rosemont College. Carolyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Counseling Association. Carolyn has experience in a variety of clinical settings such as Residential, Family Based, Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS) and outpatient counseling. Carolyn has worked with children, adolescents, adults, teens and families. Carolyn has specialized training working with clients that struggle with Depression, Eating Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder and Bipolar Disorder.

Karen Reiss completed her undergraduate studies at DeSales University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and her Master in Social Work from Marywood University. Karen is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She has extensive experience in the field of human services where she has worked with young children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics and families in various clinical settings. Karen is a member of the Bucks County Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team. Karen is also a professor of Sociology at a local college.

Barbara Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and her Master's Degree in Social Service from Bryn Mawr College. She has provided clinical counseling and supervision in a number of settings, including hospital out-patient, private human services agencies and county human services agencies in Pennsylvania. Her primary treatment focus is family therapy, including marital therapy. She has been a clinical member of the American Association of Marital and Family Therapists since 1989.

Rebekah Sampson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania. She completed her Undergraduate Degree in Biblical Counseling at Lancaster Bible College and received her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology at Eastern University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Rebekah has worked in various social service settings including group homes, Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS), Family Based and outpatient counseling. She has extensive training from the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center in family therapy. In addition to working with families, Rebekah as worked with adults, children, adolescents and couples in a therapeutic setting. Her professional focus includes blending modern theory and Christian principles in the therapeutic process.

Lucy Brown completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Potsdam, and received her Masters Degree in Social Work form Syracuse University. Lucy is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey. Lucy has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including: in-home therapy, residential, inpatient and outpatient, and school based services. She has provided therapy to children, adolescents, families and adults since 1989.

Lindsay Norvick is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania and a member of the American Counseling Association. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and completed her graduate work in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hartford. She has experience working in a variety of settings including residential programs, outpatient and family based services. Lindsay has extensive experience concerning family dynamics, anger management, mood disorders, AD/HD, and anxiety. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families.

Colleen Madden Pellegrino is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.  Colleen has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Slippery Rock University and received her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Colleen has experience working with families in crisis regarding, behavioral health, developmental issues, autism spectrum disorder, parenting/child-parent relationship, educational evaluation/advocacy. Colleen specializes in visitation, reunification and kinship services. Colleen has also served as a foster parent in the Lehigh Valley. Colleen has been a trainer for the University of Pittsburgh Child Welfare Training Program since 2006. Colleen serves as a Board Member to Potential, Inc which provides services to children with developmental and sensory issues.

Angelica Ventresca completed her Undergraduate studies at Penn State University, and she received her Master’s Degree from Marywood University. Angelica is fluent in English and Spanish. Angelica provides therapy for Children, Adolescents, Adults, Couples and Families. Angelica has extensive experience working with clients that have been involved with the justice system, individuals with mood disorders, drug and alcohol addictions, depression and child/parent conflicts.

Angelica also provides services at our office to the adult population providing DUI counseling sessions to help the individual learn insight into the disease concept and the benefits of sobriety. This program fulfills the legal requirements for outpatient counseling as mandated by the courts. This program is available in both English and Spanish.

Angelica has also worked with families of diverse background helping them transition into a new culture in which they are not accustomed to. Angelica works in a safe comfortable environment, making sure that each session is designed to help meet the specific need of the client and works with the client to find a solution. Angelica uses both Play Therapy and Art Therapy when working with children who have dealt with a specific trauma. Angelica uses the Empowerment Theory as therapeutic method to help the client meet their goals.

Gretchen Moehrle received her Master’s Degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. Gretchen has worked in a variety of clinical settings including residential treatment, family based, emergency room, and outpatient. She has worked with families, couples, adolescents and teens, the clinically depressed, grieving individuals, victims of abuse, and perpetrators of sexual, physical, and emotional violence. Gretchen completed her undergraduate studies at Cedar Crest College in Allentown and is a member of the American Counseling Association.
